The 2010 rankings were published in the Houston Chronicle in a special section on Sunday, November 7.
Top 100 Workplaces recognizes businesses nominated by their own employees as great places to work. Rankings are based on employee opinions about company leadership, values and ethics, career development, training, compensation, and work-life flexibility.
Michael J. Graff, president & CEO of American Air Liquide Holdings, Inc. and member of Air Liquide Group’s Executive Committee in charge of the Americas, commented, “I am extremely proud of Air Liquide’s distinction as a Top 100 Workplace today – on the very same day our company celebrates Innovation Day to commemorate our founding 108 years ago. Being named a Top 100 Workplace is recognition of the commitment to innovation and leadership demonstrated every day by Air Liquide employees. The dedication and spirit seen across our organization is what truly makes Air Liquide one of Houston’s best places to work.”
More than 1,350 private, non-profit and publicly-held businesses were invited to participate in the Houston Chronicle’s Top 100 Workplaces. The rankings were determined based on survey data collected by Workplace Dynamics, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention. The composite scores were calculated from responses to an employ survey administered in 2010.
