Air Liquide announces scholarship award winners for 2007

The 2007 scholarship recipients are: DeAndria Ackerman of Cambridge, MD; Jonathan Albarado of Friendswood, TX; Timothy Byrd of Inman, SC; Adam Collier of Greenup, KY; Max Darnell of Katy, TX; John Davis of Whitewright, TX; Cody Forrest of Allen, TX; Amy Gummel of Bensalem, PA; Andrew Healy of Elkader, IA; Jennifer Martin of East Earl, PA; Kevin Oberg of
Salt Lake City, UT; Taylor Pashong-Walck of Benezette, PA; and Seneca Weintraut of Mount Vernon, IN. Taylor Pashong-Walck was also honored with the Foundation’s Arthur P. Slaughter Award as this year’s academically top-ranked applicant.

Said Scott Krapf, president of the Foundation, “All of us at Air Liquide are proud to congratulate these deserving students. We wish them the best in their future endeavors. These young people have already demonstrated extraordinary academic accomplishment and great diversity in their interests and experiences, and we will look forward to their very bright futures.”

Since 1993, the Foundation has contributed to the post-secondary education of more than 200 dependents of employees and has awarded more than $800,000 in scholarships. The scholarship program is a way for Air Liquide to recognize the achievement of the children of its employees and promote their education and personal development.

Added Krapf, “These young people are not only recognized for their achievement but for the contributions they have made to their communities – in which Air Liquide operates – and the tremendous potential they have to contribute in the future. The Scholarship Program is a wonderful opportunity for Air Liquide to give back to the families and communities that have helped make us successful as a company.”

The Air Liquide America Foundation, Inc. Scholarship program is open to dependents of full-time, U.S.-based employees who meet eligibility requirements. Winners are granted annually renewed scholarship awards to be used towards undergraduate or vocational education.
